Lokomotiv Cove All Age 9th Division aka The Hell's Satans (or the Miley Cyrus' depending on who you speak to) I signed up to play for the first time in years, it is guaranteed to be utter hilarity as this team was the 2nd worst in the entire Eastern Suburbs Football League... "beaten" only by a 3rd division Under 10 team with a larger goal difference. Anyways, a lot of recruitment has been done since last season and we have what seems to be a very good team. Very formidable at the pub or Karaoke bar but still a little rusty in front of goal. First trial of the season was played on Saturday evening, it was a 0-0 draw against the Loko Cove AA8's. It ended with one of my mates having his leg broken in a fifty-fifty challenge, so that could be considered a set back i guess. Anyways, I'm keen as fuck to start playing... I can't for another 2 weeks as I dislocated my knee cap celebrating a big win for Sydney FC a couple of weeks ago. Viva Futebol! www.lokomotivcove.comInteresting note about the club, it was started by a group of people from the Sydney FC home end. It started originally as a game between us and other home ends that we share a reasonable relationship with, and grew from there. Quality stuff.

You need to make some merch. At this point, they've only churned out some polo shirts and trainign jackets, but they're very good quality. the jackets sold out almost straight away. au.fourfourtwo.com/features/3364,lokomotiv--cove.aspx good article there, from a few years back about the club forming.

So due to the large number of teams registered in the divisions above, we're now in the new Division 10. I had my first run with the team on Sunday against a team from the division above. 33 degree heat and the fact that we have trained twice together with a quarter of the team didn't mean shit as we took deserved 1-0 and 2-1 leads, lapse in concentration at the back from yours truly saw them go up 3-2, before one of our lads gave away a penalty to make it 4-2. We absolutely dominated them in the last 20 mins but could only get one goal back, the game finished just after I destroyed their best player in a completely fair challenge So things are looking good for the coming season if we can keep a full quota of players on the pitch... we started with 4 subs but finished with 0 due to soft tissue injuries. The emphasis being on the "soft". We open up the league proper with a derby against the other Loko Cove 10's team, the 10b's, the weekend after next. We will smash them. You heard it here first!!

So we had our first game on Sunday. Two nights of consecutive drinking didn't stop me from rocking up at 10am for an 11am kick off.
The unseasonal warmth is still about and was about 25 degrees by the time we kicked off. We were feeling quite positive as the game started and went up 1-0 quite early thanks to a nice looping shot from just outside the 18 yard box.
The 2nd came about 5 mins before the break, a header put back across the face of goal was nodded in right in front.
In amongst it all, we were actually quite lucky not to have a few put in against us, they had this slippery #10 that by all rights should be playing a few divisions above so he was carving us mercilessly.
Anyways, we went in to the break 2-0 up, talked about not getting lost and all the things that sound good, keeping the lead and such... and in the end we lost 3-2.
They got their first from our keeping being rooted to his line when he should have come out, a crappy penalty decision and a goal at the death that may or may not have been offside... no one's really sure.
Cunts.
So we're keeping our chin up, welcoming back a couple of key players this weekend and hoping to notch up some sort of result against the UNSW who beat this team by cricket scores last year.

I am an angry man today.
We lost 9-1 to a bunch of whiny, mouthy, university student cunts.
Not much to dissect other than us losing two key players, ont he 'keeper, with injuries in the opening 10 mins, and me and another fella lost our cool with these smart arses and went all Roy Keane on them in the 2nd half. Needless to say the 2nd half was better than the first.

What you need is to have a whiny, mouthy, university student cunt on your side as well. I'll put in a transfer request. What do your summer transfer window funds look like?

Wow, so much time has gone by.
And so much has happened. We have won 3 games so far, 2 without me as I was suspended for choking an opponent and then pushing the referee's arm away when he showed me the subsequent red card.
12 games in total, but 5 suspended so i am free to play again next week. Woo!
