Looking forward to both Elysium and Seven Psychopaths. Anyone here seen Pacific Rim yet?
I watched the whole Mad Max trilogy on Sunday (Since there was only one game to watch that day), and I learned a couple of things.
1) I've never seen the first one before. What I have always thought was the original, was in fact Mad Max 2. And the original was pretty lousy. The second movie is the only one worth watching.
2) Americans have such a problem with Australian accents that the blurays has dubbed American accent audio as default.
3)I'm not saying the movie is dated, but pretty much the only thing that survived the apocalypse that happened before Beyond Thunderdome was shoulder pads and saxophones.

Pacific Rim was ok. If you like giant robots fighting giant monsters...then it's awesome. just don't go in expecting Citizen Kane.

Fun fact : The main villain, Herzog, is played by Ørjan Gamst, who used to do vocals for a pretty fucking good death metal band called Slogstorm. I saw them live a couple of times and I have some of their demos, but they never got around to put out an album. They actually recorded an album, but it was never released. They put it up on myspace for free instead. Worth checking out if you're into DM : myspace.com/slogstorm/music/songsMartin Hykkerud, the name of the main character in the movie is the name of the old drummer in Slogstorm. www.metal-archives.com/artists/Martin_Hykkerud/243700Nerd rant over
