Italian and Norwegian media reports that Norwegian manager Trond Sollied is one of the candidates for the Newcastle job. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trond_Sollied"Trond Sollied was dismissed from Bodø/Glimt after a disagreement with the players and the club board." He was sacked because of his problems with alcohol, although nobody has ever said that out loud. It's a habbit that I'm not sure he has kicked yet. He lost his drivers license for DUI when he was manager i Belgium, and I've heard some stories... And last season he threatened to sue DGH, Bodø/Glimts supporter club for £2,5 million for bringing his name into a case where we accused the players for not being serious enough and for drinking too much alcohol during the season

Eriksson is a overrated has-been, and Houllier is no better. I'm sure Allardyce will be the new manager, but Sollied is actually a very good manager, despite a few flaws He has done well in all the clubs he has been in. He likes to play attacking football, and I'm sure Newcastle would have been fun to watch with him as manager. A few clubs in Europe are checking him out now, among them HSV and Feyenoord according to the papers.

Houillier won't be too bad at first he would go out and buy 4 or 5 defenders something that you have needed for a long time.

Nice win against Juve last night, although that penalty looked cheap

hahaha - cheers Morten, got to sit in the Platinum Club for a mere £15 for that, padded seats and a decent view for a change - so got a good view of what was indeed a feeble pen - the ref was local, but he then did nowt when Buffon punched young Andy Carroll's heed off - I wish he'd chinned Dyer instead. Highlight of the day - had a few pints up near the ground then went down to Trillians, where they played the whole of 'Death to Tyrants' from start to finish. The season will be all downhill now! ;D (We've still got no defenders and now all the midfielders are injured.)

I read that Dyer was booed against Juve and that some people egged his house. And now he's off to West Ham

WHU are beginning to look a bit like us 2 years ago - they've got Parker as well!! I've never hated any player in my 25-odd years of following the toon as much as Dyer. He's pure fucking poison, the number of stories I've heard about the little cunt off bouncers/barstaff/ etc - he's ruined other players careers, done fuck all for 8 years and been paid a fucking fortune for it. Yes, he got booed a bit, some kids tried to get him in the car park afterwards as well - well done I reckon, at least it forced the little fucker's hand and made him know how unwelcome he is - everyone I know fucking detests him. A sign of how much he's hated - he has minders that follow him to the bogs when he's out so that no-one batters him - prick!
