So the new English rugby league season has just kicked off and I've decided to follow a team. Not much thought has gone into this, but in age-old tradition I've basically decided that I'm a fan of the club that wears the exact same colours as my beloved Parramatta Eels. That happens to be Warrington Wolves - although there happens to be a major disadvantage in that I think their captain might be former Manly hooker Michael Monaghan. Anyway, I vaguely recall Warrington having a decent season last year (we get Super League on tele down here nowadays) and I think they might have even won the Challenge Cup? I have no idea where Warrington is, per se, (think it's in Cheshire?!) but I believe the mighty Wolves have a pretty new stadium and they don't look like going out of business within the next year or so (good enough for me!). So call me a Wolves fan then, and let's all get excited about them smashing those jerks from St. Helens (yeah!!!). Oh yeah, and there's an NRL Tipping Competition at www.oztips.com for anyone interested in participating. Yes, I'm talking to you, mikeyuk! Comp Name: Bombshell 2010 Comp Number: 198119 Comp Password: RocketBaby

If we were RL fans, Warrington would be our local team. Its about 15 miles from Liverpool directly between here and Manchester. Its also a town full of people who marry their relatives

They always seem to play a nice style of attacking rugby, but bottle it in big matches. Saw them play Hull KR last year. Went in supporting Warrington, but their fans were such a bunch of cunts, I ended up being Hull KR for life! Having said that, I sat on the train home with a group of them the next day, and they gave me beer, so I love them.
