Persistence tour is over...
Some thoughts... It's too big(venue, stages, ...) for HC. But probably a good thing for the bands... Watched all bands from a distance because the hernia of last year is giving me a hard time past two weeks. Today it hurts even more(standing up all day is not the best thing for a bad back), luckily I have a day off, so I can hit the couch until 3pm when I have to pick up the kids from school.
Took care of some drunk people... the drive home was hilarious.
Nice meeting you Foz, Floyd, May, Geordies!

Were any of the drunk people english, by any chance? No, Belgians. And I had a case of Duvel(24 bottles) in my trunk, which was untouched...strange ;-)

Sorry I was miserable as fuck mate, I had a stinking cold all week I was away, by Mulheim on Saturday I just wanted to get home. Tell Bob I was trying to ask him if Dutch crowds were always crap coz everyone is stoned, he thought I wanted some weed! I went for a quick piss halfway through SOIA set and as I made my way back through the crowd he was standing halfway back looking totally fucked. The venues were generally crap - Mulheim's was the worst I think I've ever been to, if it hadnt been SOIA I'd have left. Best gig - Wurzburg. Worst crowd - Eindhoven. The bill should have had BFB before SOIA - almost zero interest in DRI from most people. As for the times, why put so many bands on that by the time the show finishes there's no public transport? Fucking stupid. Anyway, thanks to SOIA and esp Armand - and cheers to Mark and Ritchy for putting up with a week of me gobbing up phlegm and coughing and moaning about being hot, then sweating. It'll be better next time, I hope.
