shit is gonna get crazy. NYC order a bunch of evacuations. a bunch of schools in Philly, NYC and NJ are already closed.
The storm isn't supposed to make landfall until monday night. A local radio station (www.nj1015.com) has been posting pictures of NJ shore towns....an they're already underwater. this is going to be crazy.

here's a picture of atlantic city. I didn't take it, but i'm sharing it anyway. http://instagram.com/p/RXoEkohmER Storm didn't even make landfall yet. we're going to get hammered. NYC/port authority is closing the tunnels in and out of NYC today. I'll assume the bridges will also be closed due to the high winds. just waiting for the power to go out.

NYC and the jersey coast got absolutely pummeled. as of right now the only way in or out of NYC is via the Lincoln tunnel. all other bridges and tunnels are closed. that's the last report I heard anyway. I have no power, and the local radio signal crapped out so I don't know if anything's been updated. major roads are closed, access roads are littered with debris.
2.3 million people in New Jersey are without power, and 7 million total. just a beast of a storm. unreal.

this storm was absolutely brutal. personally, my area escaped with only minor inconvenience. lost power for a day, cable for 5 days. a bunch of places are still powerless. the natural gas in places like seaside heights could be off for as much to 6-8 months (yes MONTHS). going to be awhile before we're back to "normal" around here.
