Dear All
I'm very sorry to say that I have some bad news.
Those of you who have been on here for a while will remember Jack; many of the UK based folks (and one or two from Australia, and further afield) will have met him at shows.
Last night, i heard from a friend of his father, who told me that Jack died last week.
His funeral will take place on the Isle of White this week, and there will be a memorial service for him on Canvey Island on 4 June. When I get more details, I will let you know. I'll be there, and it would be god to see any other of his friends, to remember him.

I've met alot of messageboard people over the years. All of them are the best and I can call them friends and best friends.
I've never met Jack, but if I had the chance to meet him, I would call him a friend too. RIP Jack.

Much the same as Gert, and I'm sure it applies to most on here as I think most of our paths have crossed at least once over the years.
I met and hung out with Jack a fair bit when he was out here on holidays a few years ago, he came out to have a few drinks with me and my friends and fit in seamlessly. Those that remember him have also been saddened by this news.
I was looking forward to possibly catching up with him on my trip in a couple weeks time, instead I'll be toasting to his memory with those of you who I do manage to catch up with.

It is a formal occasion, so smart dress please folks. Suits for gentlemen, where possible.
Thanks
