I guess you have to be in a certain mood for these slow paced films. I know that at first I did not like Lost in Translation (I guess the Japanese part of Babel reminds me of it), but the second, and third time I loved it.

2001: A Space Odyssey.
Wow, what a good movie. Excellent...so innovative, and inventive, too.

Saw Hannibal Rising last night. It was quite good, but not as gory as I had been led to believe. Saw a trailer for Hostel 2, can't fucking wait to see that gore-fest!

Watched the first 45 minutes, or so, of 21 Grams last night. Didn't grab me at all. Should I have carried on? The film's gone back now, so the chance has gone, but...

Started watching Black Christmas today but got bored. Load of fucking nonsense. Avoid. The original or the remake? I've only seen the original, and it's a classic. I see they just got a green light for the movie about Micky Ward. Mark Wahlberg will play Ward, and Matt Damon will play his brother. For those who don't know who Micky Ward is; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micky_Ward"The song "The Warrior's Code" by Boston Celtic Punk band Dropkick Murphys is dedicated to Micky Ward, and his photograph appears on the cover of the album of the same title." www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSBmL7tNVsUwww.imdb.com/title/tt0964517/

Nah, Bilbo's mate, who pretended to be a pirate for a while. But I know he's really an elf. Doesn't look that oily, but it just goes to show that you just can't tell.
