My pleasure After a 0-0 draw in our opening game, we have now won 6 games in a row, among them an extremely important win away against Ham Kam, which was relegated from the premier league last year and who are one of our biggets rivals to gain promotion. We are top of the league with 3 points down to Ham Kam and Molde, the other team that was relegated last year. We have for once been really lucky with our foreign signings, and Brazilian striker Thiago Martins have scored 9 goals and is the league top scorer. Right behind him is left winger Trond Olsen who have netted 8 goals. At an age of 23 he is finally growing up and showing the potential that we have only seen in glimpses since he was 16. If he continue to play like he has up until now in the season there's no way we'll be able to hold on to him for very long, especially if we do not get promoted. One of the most important things this season is that Runar Berg, our best player by far and all around club legend, is motivated again. Having played in serie-A in Italy and the champions league with Rosenborg, he didn't exactly seem motivated for Norwegian division one last season. Turning 37 later this year he needs to be motivated to be on top of his game.... His father, Harald Berg played for Bodø/Glimt until he was 40, and is considered by many to be Norways best player of all time, so he has good genes though. The only thing that has put a damper on the start of the season is that our new keeper got injured in the second game, and is still out. Hopefully he'll be back soon though. As for the other teams, Ham Kam and Molde are suddenly finding out what we found out when we were relegated last year; you can't just cruise through this division. It's not the best quality of football, but it's very physically demanding and all the "smaller" clubs want to bring you down. In fact both of them have been pretty lucky to have as many points as they do, and luck doesn't run forever. In their last game Molde fielded their strongest team and lost 3-1 in the first round of the cup against a division 3 side, so things are looking good There are a few other teams capable of fighting for promotion, but none of them have had a very good start of the season. That's all I have time for right now. I'm at work so now I have to go pretend to be doing something league table : dyn.tv2.no/sport/main.do?cmd=table&tournamentId=2&seasonId=329top scorer: dyn.tv2.no/sport/main.do?cmd=goals&tournamentId=2&seasonId=329

And I try to update my shitty little myspace page after every match. I put up links to the goals to. The updates looks messy because I know nothing about html or codes or computers in general. www.myspace.com/glimt1916

Lost our first match yesterday. 2-1 away At least Thiago Martins scored again. I put £20 on him as the league top scorer before the season kicked off and I'll get 23 times my money back if he delivers. Unfortunately I was broke when I heard the odds they put on him, otherwise I would have put up at least £100.

I obviously jinxed us with my first update here. We lost again at home against Molde, before we finally won one again away against Bryne this weekend. No longer top of the table, but still a decent start to the season. Unfortunately Thiago Martins got injured again against Molde. Don't know how long he'll be out. In better news, I finally got my shirts back from the print shop today:

Well a few things have happended since I last updated you. After the 5-0 win at home against Raufoss we lost 4-0 away against Løv Ham. How the hell that happened I really don't know. I just want to forget about it. Then in the next game at home against Sogndal, our playing manager Erik Hoftun collided with our left back Roy miller. Hoftun went to the ground not breathing and with no pulse. The club doctor managed to get his heart starting to beat again, and he was rushed to hospital. He is ok, but obviously haven't played since. Time will show if and when he will be back on the field. We won the game 2-0 though. After that we won 1-0 against Hønefoss in the cup. We got Lyn Oslo in the next round. It will be fun to test our strength against a team from the Tippeliga again. It's one of the biggest games in the season for us, as the cup is a really big thing over here. I have a naive dream of both getting promoted and getting to the cup final this year. Last weekend we won 1-0 away against Moss. They were the best team by far, and we were lucky to get anything out of it, let alone 3 points. They obviously felt the same way cause after the game some of the players got into a fight on the field. That was the last game before a 3 week break. Halfway though the season I have to say I'm pretty pleased with what we've done. We've been palying some good football and if we can get more consistent I think we will finish at top two, wich means we'll be promoted. We're only number three now after Molde and Ham Kam, but I don't think both of them will last the entire way in. By the way, I just read that Vålerenga might be interested in Thiago Martins. They are really struggeling this year and are desperate to get a striker who scores goals. Martins is still the top scorer in the 1. division with 13 goals, and I can't imagine us letting him go Hoftun getting injured. Look at his legs going even though he is unconscious : www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yh7kLCgfvLs
