Thanks everyone Just came home from Bodø yesterday. Straight to work from the airport. Haven’t gotten to much sleep the last few days and I haven’t had access to a computer either, so that’s why I haven’t updated you. What a wonderful couple of days it’s been. It’s been like a long cup final weekend. And being such an underdog, having to listen to all the “experts” saying we didn’t stand a chance, and all the Odd Grenland players and supporters saying the playoffs where a formality and they they where gonna destroy us, of course makes winning extra fucking sweet. There’s an added bonus in getting to relegate Morten Fevang too. He’s their club captain and he is very unpopular among our supporters after a horrible tackle on our u-21 international Ruben Imingen in a training match earlier this year. It ended Imingens season and we still don’t know when he will be back. Some supporters welcomed him to Bodø at the airport, and it freaked their manager out. He started shoving people around and yelling for them to get away, and he still says he will report it to the football federation. Talk about over reacting. As you can see it was really a good luck wish Later that day somebody delivered some flowers to Fevang and another player at their hotel. How the hell they didn’t suspect anything is beyond me, but they brought them to their room and at 4 in the morning before the game the alarm clocks in the vases started ringing. One of them actually thought it was a bomb, making for some nice “Glimt supporters with bomb joke” headlines. Needless to say their manager continued his ranting and raving about how shameful it all was blah blah blah. As for the game itself we scored the first after only 3 minutes and we pretty much controlled it all the way. I think a lot of people where pretty surprised how good we can be when we bother to try. A lot of the players have been under achieving for the last couple of seasons and it’s a mental thing in my opinion. Odd Grenland had announced a party in the centre of the city with the game on a big screen to celebrate their win. I don’t think it turned out quite the way they had imagined. A youtube video worth checking out. Even though you don't speak Norwegian I think you'll get it : www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2xzjXu-GqU
