Hey Jim. Sorry about being rather short the other day. I'm slowly coming out of post-match psychosis It's just irritating to spend lots and lots of money to travel to see a match, and then have it ruined because of a ref sending people off for bullshit. And being on the same plane as him just added insult to injury. It's been a good season for us. But just when I was starting to get my hopes up for maybe getting a medal and getting into Europe, we start to fuck up. Oh well. I actually thought Newcastle won last night. But hey, a draw against the richest team in the world can't be that bad I would like to mention that we have played City once. A pre-season friendly back in 94. We played them of the park and won 5-1. They were lucky. Good to hear that the shirt fit. As I said it's not the greatest quality, but it's kinda hard to find people willing to make so few at a time.

One game left of the season and we can still get third place. A lot of things have to go our way though. Stabæk have to beat Tromsø, Viking can't win, and we have to beat Rosenborg away for the first time since 1977. In fact we haven't beat them in the league home or away since 1979. I remember us beating them 6-3 in a pre-season friendly back in 1988 though The most likely scenario is that we will lose by at least a couple of goals and end up in 6th place. That will still be a really good season. But if we climb to 3rd place we will get into the qualifying stages of the UEFA cup.... Will be a good weekend no matter the result. Travelling down to meet an old mate of mine who lives there now. Our first away game ever was Rosenborg away in 1993. I remember we got really really drunk before getting on the supporters bus, and I ended up throwing up on the floor of the bus about 1 hour into a 7 hour drive. Good times The table before the last round:

Bollox, just missed out on third. Does 4th get you a chance in the Intertoto cup?

What a game ;D
From what I've heard there is no intertoto cup anymore after this season. Don't know if it's true though.

So you're actually a Frode Johnsen fan? Before I read that I thought you were just being sarcastic I guess he fits in pretty well i Japan, being strong and good in the air. I rated him a decent player when he played in Norway. More heart than skills. But he played for Rosenborg when they were in their prime, so that meant that as a stiker he couldn't avoid scoring a lot of goals.

To be honest he's been pretty useless this season.
That penalty he scored was the first goal he's scored in months, and his lack of goals will end up costing Nagoya the championship (not that they wouldn't have found another way to choke hilariously even if he had been scoring goals).
He kind of looks like it's all a bit beyond him now... which is exactly the kind of player that Shimizu S-Pulse will sign. Washed up? Played out? Unable to find the back of the net for love nor money? WE WANT YOU!
The Brazilian S-Pulse signed this season is the highest player at the club and reputedly one of the highest players in the J. League, but has not scored a single goal and has dropped down to sixth choice striker for the team. There's no way that Frode Johnsen could possibly be any worse.

We're (hopefully) building a new stadium sometime in the not to distant future, and today there was a press conference where they informed about the plans. Haven't had time to read too much of it yet, but here's drawings of the two alternatives. Expanding the current stadium : Building a new stadium : Building a new stadium probably won't happen unless the freak chance that we get picked to host some of the games in Euro 2016. Notice how they already on the drawing stages have predicted it to be only half full

Notice how they already on the drawing stages have predicted it to be only half full. Hahahaha. Still looks nice. Maybe I'll be able to come over for the opening game.

Bad situation, though it's nice that the deceased chairman is speaking about it.
